Roloson is down
Tonight the Edmonton Oilers played their first game against the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup finals. It was a great game - fast paced, great plays, great defense and overall, pretty clean. Pumpkin, however, wasn't too rivetted.
After a hard fought game, the Hurricanes won the game 5-4 to take a 1-0 lead. However, the loss isn't what Edmontonians are sad about - we are sad that our star goalie, the guy we call Roli, is injured and out for the rest of the series. Roloson has been a rock in goal. We never had to worry when he was back there in the net. So tonight, with Roli out for the season, we mourn him.
The Oiler's flag is at half mast.
Pumpkin is sad too (I know, hard to tell, but I assure you, she is sad).
It seems sadder when it's in black and white, doesn't it?
We have confidence that our team will pull through though! On to game 2 and kicking some Hurricane butt!
