Slow internet at home

I was busy all weekend, and that's why I haven't posted. I played in another ultimate tournament this weekend, although this one was in Edmonton rather than abroad. It was a really good time, since the people I was playing with were a very fun bunch. We won some games and lost some games, but we didn't take it too seriously so there wasn't any stress involved. The weather also turned out much better than expected - the forecast was for cool weather and rain, and while we started with some pretty cold mornings, it ended up being hot and sunny by noon each day. Bonus! I even had to put on sunscreen both days! It was a nice 'last blast' of summer.

On Monday, I used the Labour Day holiday to labour around my house and do some much needed cleaning. I also did some work on my poster and presentation for my upcoming conference in Rome. Finally, Garrett and I took some time in the late afternoon to meet some friends at the park and throw the frisbee around (I know, we never seem to get enough of it!). I want to put those pictures up for you to see, since we took some neat ones of us doing frisbee tricks, but my internet is too slow at home to upload the pictures. In particular, Garrett's camera takes really pictures with really large file sizes, so it's hard for me to upload them with my slow wireless connection. I plan to upload them tomorrow while at school, so stay tuned for that.

Other than that, Garrett and I are both enjoying having free time in the evenings, however it seems a little weird to me because I feel like we should be DOING something! I'm sure I'll get used to it, though. Either that, or I'll end up taking on some more stuff for the evenings. In fact, I'm already fairly decided that I am going to join the University Nationals team, which means some more ultimate practices in the evenings. It never ends! But really, I'm not very good at sitting at home in the evenings anyway.
