Oiler's tickets!

On Monday night after our last dodgeball game of the season, Je Dodge Bien went out to Hudson's on campus for some appetizers and beer. We had a good time there and enjoyed the hockey game that was on TV. As well, we partook in a game that Hudson's throws during hockey games - fill out a ballot and guess when the first Oiler's goal will happen. We filled out a ballot each and gave them back to our waitress.

Shortly into the second period, the Oiler's scored their first goal! Woohoo! However, the most exciting part was that it occurred with 18:25 left on the clock, and as you can see below (hopefully despite the fuzziness), I guessed that the first goal would be at 18:40 in the second period:I wasn't sure if we had to be exactly correct on the time to win the tickets, so we asked our waitress. Since it was her first night there, she went back and asked her manager, and I guess after they checked all the other ballots, they determined that my guess was the closest one! She came back and awarded me with tickets for Mon Jan 7th against the New York Islanders!They also gave me a $25 gift certificate to use at Hudson's that night, before or after the game. Great deal! I guess my mom's good luck is rubbing off somewhere!
