Oddly addicting, for no good reason

Anyone heard of Facebook?

Probably, tons of you have. It seems that all of a sudden, Facebook is the new 'cool' thing to do. Everyone is on it! Everyone is doing it!

And what exactly 'it' is, I haven't totally figured out yet.

I like Facebook, for the most part. I joined it a few days ago and I have added a bunch of my friends as my 'Friends'. It's kindof neat to find out who else is on it. But other than adding people, I have yet to find anything super intriguing about the website. I add people, maybe I mesage them a bit, but there are a lot of people I talk to on a regular basis anyway, so why do I need to message them on a website?

I guess there must be something to it, since everyone is doing it and I keep going back to check on my page...but if anyone can pin down the niche this website fills I'd be greatly appreciative for the definition!
