Baby shower

On Saturday, Darci, Suellen and I threw Lindsay a post-birth baby shower. Lindsay was a tech in our lab for a year before she went on maternity leave, and both Darci and Suellen also work in my lab with me. We had the shower at Lindsay's house, and brought all the food/plates/games etc in with us so she wouldn't have to do any work for the shower. We had all the guests bring a little something to eat, so there was lots of food for the lunchtime party.
Plus, one of Lindsay's friends is amazing at making cakes, and she made this beautiful baby bear cake:It's edible! We all had a piece near the end of the party.

The shower was fairly low key, as in most of the time we just chatted and snacked. We played just a few simple games with some little prizes. The craziest part of the shower was actually all the three-year olds that came with their mom's and were running around playing. Since I'm not used to being around that many kids, it was a little overwhelming, but they were surprisingly well-behaved, aside from being incredible dirty little creatures (meaning, they got food everywhere in the house and on themselves).
Here's Suellen (left) and Darci (right).Bonnie (left - also in my lab) and Lindsay (right):Since it was a post-birth baby shower, we were able to meet Tyler and pass him around, although he slept through almost the entire party thrown in his honor:
