Eagle hunt 2007
Christmas eve dawned sunny and warm, so Garrett and I went out on an adventure to find some bald eagles. We hopped in the truck and drove out to Porpoise Bay down past Sechelt, where we hoped to find some eagles for Garrett to shoot with his fancy new camera. He took some pictures of the bay and some birds while we waited around and searched for eagles:
We heard some eagles calling, but we weren't really sure where they were, seeing as the trees are tall and all. However, ten minutes after we got to the park, an eagle swept in over the ocean and Garrett took this shot:This first eagle flew up over the beach and into the top of the tree, where a second eagle promptly joined the first. It was great!Garrett took a bazillion shots, but I just put some of his best ones up.
He also took a neat one of the ripples in the sand, left from the ocean's waves:Here I am on the beach, too!
